The small-town Pennsylvania atmosphere around Legacy Oaks is combined with easy access—often walking distance—to grocery shopping, restaurants, a U.S. Post Office, banks, cleaners, churches, cultural activities and more. The compactness of the surrounding community and the easy availability of important services are particularly desirable for energy conscious mature adults. A pleasant walk or, at most, a short drive for most needs keeps energy costs under control within the context of a quiet, safe residential community. (See this article from the Morning Call of May 21, 2014.)
Macungie Memorial Park in the nearby borough of Macungie is the site of numerous warm weather events like antique and classic car and truck shows along with charitable events, a farmer's market, holiday parades and community concerts. In winter, skiing is available at nearby Bear Creek ski area. Dozens of golf courses are within 20 miles of Legacy Oaks, less than 45 minutes away. Musical events and other special concerts are often held at the Allen Organ Company in Macungie and in numerous community parks nearby.

Legacy Oaks is conveniently located for easy driving access to the greater Lehigh Valley as well as to Philadelphia and its northern suburbs, to New Jersey and to northern Delaware.
